Cookie information

This document describes how we use cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Konfiguruj web application. Processing of personal data related to cookies is governed primarily by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, as amended, and, as regards storing cookies on your device, Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on electronic communications, as amended (Czech law).

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser or on your device when you visit a website. They may be used to recognise your device, keep you signed in, or ensure basic service functionality. Similar purposes may be served by other storage technologies in the browser (e.g. local storage) when used for the same ends.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary to display the site securely, operate your user account, and perform the contract for the service; without them the application cannot work properly. Their use is covered by Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. and does not require your prior consent under the cookie rules of that Act. This category includes cookies related to sign-in, session maintenance, authentication tokens, and technical cookies that ensure availability, stability, and security of the service. We do not use them for targeted advertising.

Cookies that require consent

Marketing, analytics, or other non-essential cookies that go beyond what is strictly necessary would only be stored on the basis of your prior, freely given consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the relevant provisions of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. At the time this text is published we do not deploy such optional cookies in the service. If we add them later, we will inform you beforehand and obtain your explicit consent; you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Browser settings and refusing cookies

Most browsers can be configured to limit how cookies are stored, delete them when the session ends, or block them entirely. The steps depend on your browser (usually under “Settings” / “Privacy and security” / “Cookies”). Please note that blocking or deleting all cookies, including essential ones, may limit or prevent some features of the service, especially sign-in and account use.

Controller, data subject rights, and supervision

The controller of personal data in connection with operating the service is the person or entity identified on this site’s contact page. You may direct questions about processing to the contact e-mail shown there. Under the GDPR you have, among others, the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability where applicable, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic the supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.
